Vicky Stashuk-Matisi began her riding career as an Eventer and was successful through the Preliminary level. At that time, her horses were always very successful in the Dressage phase and this began her love with Dressage as she brought several horses from the lower levels through Grand Prix and won numerous awards.
Vicky was formerly involved with United States Pony Club (USPC) as an instructor, “B” examiner, and was a founder of the Woodside pony club in Woodside, California. Vicky was Co-Founder of The Horse Park in Woodside, formerly CTETA, which has become one of the premier Eventing and Dressage show facilities in California. She was on the Board many years and was responsible for organizing and running the Horse Trials during that time. Unfortunately a serious back injury took her out of Eventing, however, Vicky volunteered to be the USEA Area VI Adult Rider Coordinator and for 10 years helped to grow the Adult educational programs for the Adult Rider Program and gave back to the sport of Eventing.
In 2003 Vicky imported a new Dressage horse from Germany, Fenja, a talented mare out of Fidermark and competed up to the FEI Intermediare II, and preparing for Grand Prix. In 2010 Vicky imported a very talented Sir Donnerhall Mare, Springfield, who has won numerous high point awards for training through first level. Springfield is showing 4th level and Prix St. George. Vicky makes bi-annual trips to Germany to import top Westfalen dressage horses from Muenster.
